NAGOYA, Japan, March 15, 2011 – JTEKT CORPORATION (Headquartered in NAGOYA, President Shoji Ikawa) today announced the decision of the JTEKT group to provide the amount of 70 million yen to aid and support the recovery of people and areas affected by the disaster of strong earthquake, which struck Northeastern Japan on March 11. JTEKT and its employees are planning to donate the people and areas on a voluntary basis besides this decision.

JTEKT also takes necessary measures to support our customers of Machine Tools & Mechatronics Operations Headquarters for production restoration. We accept service request on a round-the-clock basis by phone, facsimile and e-mail. At the time of March 15, over 20 service representatives are working to support them with the best efforts.

JTEKT expresses deep condolence and strongly hopes for safety and swift recovery of the people and areas in Japan affected by the disaster of Tohoku Earthquake.
