Minebea Co., Ltd. ("Minebea") announced today that it has decided to provide JPY 50 million to earthquake relief donation to the people and regions affected by the off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake to support recovery efforts in the communities affected by the earthquake and tsunamis. In the meantime, Minebea Group employees are now running their fund-raising campaign to supplement the donation.

In addition, the Group will provide every possible assistance in relief and recovery of the people and the region affected by the disaster. Minebea is planning to celebrate the 60th anniversary of its incorporation in July 2011. Aside from the aforementioned relief donations, Minebea has decided that the company, in principle, will divert all the expenses planned to be used for the anniversary celebration events to the donation for recovery efforts. The details will be announced as soon as the plan is finalized precisely.

The Minebea Group expresses its heartfelt sympathy to people who suffer from the disaster and sincerely hopes that the affected area will make earliest possible recovery and the people in the region will be able to live safely soon.
