The International Exhibition and Trade Fair Hannover 2009 was being held under framing motto INNOVATION. Tradition has it that the Czech manufacturer of spherical and special roller bearings ZKL Group participated in this notable exhibition and fair as well.
Its display stand was situated in pavilion H25.
As for the display itself it was spatially rather more extensive and its key products were the New Force ZKL bearings series. Placement of exhibits in glassed-in showcases was done under our assistance and arrangement of ZKL Brno bearings in differential pinions of epicyclic gearbox for paper industry jointly with SGN company. The whole ZKL display stand had a very good exhibition level with its traditional design fully comparable with competition and was further enriched by new elements - among others by a rotating cube NEW FORCE - ZKL.
In course of the fair passing between April 10 and 24 a number of negotiations took place and certain new business contacts with interested parties of users and distributors of roller bearings were established. Very important was the personal attendance of our oversea affiliated company ZKL India Pvt. Ltd.
The visitors appreciated in displayed ZKL products the fact that our group also carries out research and development of its bearings along with testing of their higher utility values - basic dynamic load ratings and enhanced limiting speed frequencies values presented under new designation of NEW FORCE. Besides of displayed spherical roller bearings of ZKL Brno and ball bearings of ZKL Klasterec nad Ohri the independently exhibited mounting of epicyclic gearbox with ZKL Brno spherical roller bearings also became the object of visitors' interest.
In addition to that, the cylindrical roller bearings for railway axleboxes and spherical roller bearings of 239, 240 and 241 series with one-piece prong-type machined brass cages HM impressed as well. The staff of our stand rendered technical information service to visitors and to representatives of important bearings companies who did not participate in this year's fair.
The same exhibition pavilion housed also the show of bearing manufacturer ZVL Auto, s.r.o., Presov (Slovak Republic), in other pavilions there were display stands of other bearing producers, such as MTK Belgium, URB Barlad and others.
A number of Chinese bearing manufacturers presented their abilities to produce large-size bearings. One of these companies exhibited spherical roller bearings with steel sheet cages which even seemed to be technologically on a very good level originating from notable world companies ranging among competition able producers.
In spite of that European markets, such as Spain among others, are being supplied with growing quantities of inferior spherical roller bearings of low reliability and premature device down coming from an Eastern territory.
In course of the fair we visited several manufacturers of gearboxes and informed them of the possibilities to use ZKL bearings.
A very important part of prominent world manufacturers' exhibitions, such as of NSK and NKE, were bearings for roller mountings in wind power installations where great emphasis is being placed on high reliability and long service life utilizing various surface treatments of rolling as well as sliding contacts.
Exploitation of renewable energy resources is namely characteristic for Germany. When driving to the fair and back we were passing through - if a bit exaggeratedly said - woodlands of wind parks of various manufacturers. We have approached some of them already and communicate with them on technical, manufacturing and commercial subjects. These contacts are promising for market revival, particularly in large-size spherical and cylindrical roller bearings.
Incidentally the wind power generating plants were program content of one of pavilions on Hannover fair which we have visited.
