*Learn about products, read and download brochures
On the completely redesigned Schaeffler Group web site, you will now find current news about the Schaeffler Group, information on products, milestones in the company history and more fascinating and valuable information about the company.
At www.schaeffler-group.com, the Schaeffler Group presents itself as a high-performance and customer-orientated company and provides an informative and interesting overview about the group of companies.
The innovative and image-orientated character, which already defined the old web site, has been consistently maintained on the new web site by using a large stage area for images and flash animations. This enables Internet users, for example, to learn from moving pictures how a wind turbine works and find out what Schaeffler products are used in the engine, transmission and chassis of a car.
Not only the design of the site is new, a lot of content was also added or extended during the approximately one-and-a-half-year development process. “For the redesign, it was important that we are also able to offer users of the Schaeffler Group web site information which they already know from the national websites of the company. For example, the option to search for press releases, locations or job advertisements”, explains Werner Gensmantel, Project Manager Internet Schaeffler Group.
This required that the Schaeffler Group web site was linked up to the same content management system that is also used by the national web sites. This not only allows the use of existing applications, but also enables the content on the Internet site to be maintained and extended without any problems.
The new Internet site of the Schaeffler Group is initially available in German and English. Further language versions are planned.
