ABMA hosted its Annual Meeting on March 15-17 with American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA). At this meeting, the association recognized its 50 year company members and Outgoing Chairman Jeff Manzagol, President of Kaydon Bearings Division.
ABMA, founded in 1917, has a rich tradition with long standing companies. ABMA pleased to announce that The Abbott Ball Company, Accurate Bushing, New Hampshire Ball Bearings (NHBB) and Rexnord Bearing Division have achieved 50 years with the association. These companies join our 75 year members that we recognized at last year’s Annual Meeting. ABMA will continue its company recognitions at the 2013 Annual Meeting with our 25 year members.
In addition, this meeting concluded Jeff Manzagol’s two years as chairman of ABMA. During his tenure, ABMA experienced unprecedented implementation of a strong strategic focus that included the complete revamp of the education program, establishment of domestic anti-counterfeiting initiative and engagement of industry suppliers.
"It has been a pleasure partnering with Jeff over the past two years. ABMA would not have been able to achieve our many successes without his strong leadership and keen ability to gain consensus on critical issues impacting the bearing industry”, stated ABMA President Scott Lynch. The ABMA Board of Directors appointed Pete Eich, President of NTN Bearing Corporation of America as the new Chairman of ABMA. Mr. Manzagol will stay on the ABMA Board of Directors in the role of Immediate Past Chairman.
