Attendees at the Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) 2009 Annual Convention May 2-5 at the Hyatt Grand Cypress Hotel, Orlando, Florida, will hear key industry s from both the manufacturer and distributor channels of the supply chain. As it has in the past BSA will welcome Bruce Warmbold, president of the Schaeffler Group and representing the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA), to give an on the bearing industry from the perspective of the American Bearing Manufacturers Association. In addition, Scott Lynch, President of the ABMA, will present an on programs, education, and training offered by the American Bearing Manufacturers Association. For the first time ever, BSA will offer its own Industry Update, presented by association president Steve Durston, Executive Vice President of Jamaica Bearings Company, Inc. He will present an on the bearing industry from the distributor perspective including data from the 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 Distributor Reports.
Industry s have become a key component in recent BSA Annual Conventions, where programming is closely tied to the association’s Strategic Plan which identifies BSA as “the forum to enhance networking, knowledge sharing, and to promote the sale of bearings through authorized distributors.”
