GGB, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, has reopened its sales office in Poland, after a 10-year hiatus during which it served the market from its Slovakian plant. The company’s decision to reopen the office reflects the growing importance of the Polish market, where it has a substantial volume of automotive business.
Serving as sales representative for GGB Poland is Miroslav Pivoňka, who will be supported by the company’s Slovakian production plant. He comes to GGB from Duropack Turpak Obaly A.S., Martin, Slovakia, where he also served as Polish sales representative for the manufacturer of packaging products and supplies. He is a graduate of the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia, where he received the equivalent of a M.Sc. degree in commerce.
