With the DMIR designation, Lake is approved to perform various functions on behalf of the FAA such as the issuance of Original Airworthiness Certificates (Form 8130-3) and Export Airworthiness Certificates for PKB TSO-C149 Aircraft Bearings. Lake may also conduct any inspections necessary to determine that prototype or production parts conform to design specifications and are in a condition for safe operation.
