Glen Ellyn, IL--The Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) has opened registration via the convention website, www.bsaconventions.org for the association’s 2007 Annual Convention May 4-8 at the Marriott Marco Island Resort, Golf Club and Spa, Marco Island, Florida.
Prospective convention attendees can link to the website for convention details, a complete schedule of events, and easy access to convention registration and reservations at the Marriott Marco Island Resort, Golf Club and Spa.
The sunny, beach-side setting of Marco Island offers a unique blend of family fun and relaxed business networking that convention planners believe will be especially beneficial to attendees. Traditionally, BSA conventions offer authorized distributors an unparalled opportunity to meet with their counterparts and find solutions to industry issues and to visit with policy-making executives of supplier companies.
Convention programming is closely tied to the association’s Strategic Plan which identifies BSA as “the forum to enhance networking, knowledge sharing, and to promote the sale of bearings through authorized distributors.” The 2007 business program features an outstanding line-up of speakers selected for their ability to address the diverse needs of today’s business marketplace. They include award-winning economic forecaster, Dr. Ken Mayland on the “State of the Economy;” Eric Chester, who coined the term Generation Why and has continued to work extensively with them on “Understanding, Managing and Motivating your New Work Force;” and Walter Bond, former NBA player for eight seasons (though he was never drafted) and a college standout who will share his basic fundamentals of success.
Mayland, Chester and Bond, however, are just one aspect of a business program that includes the BSA Conference Tables, a morning of pre-scheduled, private meetings between individual BSA distributor members and participating manufacturers to discuss issues of mutual interest.
In addition to the business program, BSA convention attendees consistently rate the informal networking opportunities at the convention and related social events to be one of the most valuable aspects of the annual event. The opening reception, manufacturer-sponsored event, BSA golf and tennis competitions, and closing dinner dance add to the networking opportunities and fun for all attendees. The 2007 Annual Convention will also include some family events for attendees who choose to include their children in their visit to Marco Island.
