Strong thunderstorms across Montana has left traces of crops and damage to buildings and downed trees and power outages.
Thursday's storm from the most severe damage may occur in heavy county, gusts up to 89 mph devastated wheat and barley crops may have been harvested next week, Montana Grain Growers vice president Matt Flikkema said.
"I've never seen the extent of damage of crops, we have here in the valley," Flikkema said Friday. "There is very little of the area will be harvested crops.
Flikkema said damage could be close to $ 50 million, 5,000 acres of potatoes even without considering what happened.
