French yogurt and bottled water producer Danone SA said its first-half profit rose 10 after its acquisition of a subsidiary in Morocco to boost profits.
Danone yogurt and Evian mineral water behind the company said, 972 million euros (1.27 billion), an increase from last year's 881 million euros.
Earnings boosted by the Moroccan subsidiary of Danone February takeover central Laitiere.
However, Danone said on an underlying basis, its profit fell 4 percent, in the meantime, continued weak sales in Europe to offset international revenue. Raw material prices also cut profits.
Danone in a 200 million euro cost-cutting efforts aimed at reversing the decline in its profitability.
