Philippine economic growth of 7.8% in the first quarter, the fastest annual growth rate of services and industry led.
National Statistical Coordination Board said Thursday that the growth in this quarter is the highest reformist President Benigno Aquino III took office in 2010. This is the third consecutive quarter GDP growth of 7% or more.
Revised 2012 fourth quarter from 6.8 to 7.1%. In 2012, economic growth of 6.8%.
All industries grew by 7%, industry 10.9%, agriculture 3.3% in the first quarter contributed to the growth.
Government, along with the increase in construction investment, increase consumption and government spending.
