The RKB Group has developed new application optimized bearings expressly designed for the main rotor shaft of small size wind turbines (60 kW horizontal axis direct drive). This special set of matched angular contact ball bearings has been developed according to the set-right protocol to facilitate the mounting and adjusting operations. Many features in terms of material, design, manufacturing technology and surface treatment have been adopted to increase the overall bearing performance, even in moderately windy sites. Besides, three more positions have been designed, engineered and produced to offer the customer a turnkey solution.
