West Nyack, New York -- March 20, 2012 -- General Bearing Corporation (OTC:GNRL.PK) announced today that its stockholders approved the agreement regarding SKF’s acquisition of General Bearing Corporation. At a special meeting of stockholders yesterday, 92.59% of General Bearing’s stock was voted. Stockholders representing 92.58% of the issued and outstanding stock of General Bearing voted in favor of the transaction and stockholders representing .01% of the issued and outstanding stock of General Bearing were opposed.
General Bearing manufactures ball bearings, tapered roller bearings, spherical roller bearings, and cylindrical roller bearings, and bearing components. Under “The General” and the “Hyatt” trademarks, the Company supplies original equipment manufacturers in the automobile, truck/trailer, railcar, office equipment, machinery and appliance industries, as well as the industrial aftermarket.
