Brammer, the UK’s leading distributor of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products and services, has been awarded the prestigious Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) Certification Standard in Procurement Policies.
Brynn Woods, Purchasing & Distribution Director at Brammer UK, led the team through a thorough assessment programme that reviewed the company’s processes against strict criteria. He commented: “CIPS Certification is a globally recognised standard of excellence in an organisation’s procurement and supply chain policies, procedures and strategies.
“We believe that Brammer has become the first parts distribution company to receive CIPS accreditation, recognising that our management system and operational process and practices pass stringent scrutiny in the key areas of sustainability, environment, ethics and competitiveness.”
Ian Ritchie, Managing Director of Brammer UK, added: “This is a great achievement and a tremendous independent endorsement of Brammer’s commitment to best practice, continuous improvement and achieving the highest standards in purchasing and supply chain management.”
This award from CIPS is a further key certification to add to the existing ISO and OHSAS accreditations that Brammer holds for quality, environmental and health and safety management systems.
