SKF launched a new range of super-precision bearings designed to enable both OEMs and end users to optimise performance equipment and applications, deliver higher speed and load ratings, extended bearing service life, increased maintenance intervals and reduced energy consumption.
SKF acquired SNFA in 2006, and has since then been working closely together to create the new range of super-precision bearings. The super-precision bearing types currently available, include angular contact thrust ball bearings, high speed angular contact ball bearings, and NitroMax super tough steel bearings.
These new generation components are ideal for improving performance and productivity in applications such as metal cutting and wood working machinery spindles, printing machinery, turbo chargers, vacuum pumps, and racing cars.
SKF's entire range of precision bearing designs will be replaced by the new generation of super-precision bearings within the next few years.
