CANTON, Ohio, July 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR) today announced the appointment of Tom Diez to managing director of Latin America for Timken's process industries, mobile and aerospace/health & positioning control businesses.
In this role, Diez will lead Timken's business operations in the Caribbean nations, Mexico, Central America and South America, including Brazil.
Diez joined Timken in 2006 as director, industrial distribution – Americas. Previously, he held executive positions with Michelin North America, Inc., United Technologies, Carrier Corporation and other major firms.
Diez earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid, a Master of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Swansea in the United Kingdom and a Master of Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands. Diez is a native of Spain and resides in Canton, Ohio.
