On 9th May 2011 the reconstruction of the hall no.5 was started in the factory ZKL Brno, a.s. The building was officially opened by ing. Jiří Prášil, CSc., General Manager of ZKL, a.s. by laying the foundation stone.
The reconstructed part of the production hall, measuring approximately 30,2m x 80,5m x 10.5m, will be used for production, measurement and assembly of large-size bearings to the diameter of 1.600mm.
One part of the hall designed for the production of large-size bearings to the diameter of 1.600mm will be equipped with the following production technologies:
•Machining CNC centre VTM 200Yb from OKUMA company
•Grinding CNC unit TRD/U-2H 1500 DGT from FAVRETTO company
Another part of the hall, which will be used for the measurement and assembly, will be air-conditioned and equipped with the following technologies:
•3D measuring instrument to the diameter of 1.800 mm
•Degreasing and assembly line
•Laser Marking Equipment
•Assembly and packaging line
•2 pieces of bridge crane with the load-carrying capacity of 8t
The date of the finalization of the first reconstruction period is planned on 15th September 2011. At this stage, the construction of the whole building will be completed and the part of the building designed for the production of large-size bearings will be fully equipped with technology. A part of hall designed for assembly and measurement will be completed next year.
