ABC Bearings jumped 7.43% to Rs. 154 at 10:30 IST on BSE, after net profit soared 66.3% to Rs. 10.89 crore on 28.1% rise in net sales to Rs. 66.19 crore in Q4 March 2011 over Q4 March 2010.
The company announced the results after market hours on Monday, 2 May 2011.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 8.26 points, or 0.04%, to 18,989.76.
On BSE, 77,082 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 10,765 shares over the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs. 161 and a low of Rs. 148.90 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs. 180.70 on 6 August 2010 and a 52-week low of Rs. 101 on 25 May 2010.
The small-cap stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 2 May 2011, rising 27.42% compared with the Sensex's of 2.17% fall. The stock had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 14.09% as against Sensex's return of 5.02%.
The company has an equity capital of Rs. 11.55 crore. Face value per share is Rs. 10.
ABC Bearings' board recommended a dividend of Rs. 6 per share (60%) for the year ended March 2011.
