(March 15, 2011)
The 9.0-magnitude earthquake that struck in Eastern Japan on Friday, March 11th has caused the huge loss of lives and considerable damage of properties. On behalf of the global NACHI group, we hereby extend our sincerest grief and sympathies to the suffering people and their relatives.
We are assessing the situation at NACHI’s plants, offices and subsidiary manufactures, and have found there is no damage on those facilities so far. In addition, all NACHI associates in Japan are reported safe.
At present, there is no immediate impact on NACHI’s operation. However, due to shortage of lifeline and unforeseeable factors, the situation may be changed.
We thank all of you who have expressed deep concern and will certainly keep everyone informed if there is any change.
