Sutton Coldfield-based rolling bearings and automotive component manufacturer Schaeffler (UK) Ltd is now kit sponsor of Marston Green Football Club U18 Girls team, who currently compete in the Central Warwickshire Girls Football League.

Glenn Hughes, U18 team coach and Sector Leader for Distribution, F’IS and MRO at Schaeffler UK commented: “We are absolutely delighted that Schaeffler has decided to sponsor the team for the next two years. The sponsorship deal with Schaeffler includes 16 team kits, training jackets and umbrellas for our spectators.”



The girls are currently lying in third place in the Central Warwickshire Girls Football League, having been defeated only once in eight matches. The team has also progressed to the semi-finals of the Central Warwickshire Open Cup.

“Last year, we won the league at under-16 level and so I decided to step up the team to the under-18 league this year. We’ve had a great start to this season and the girls are in confident mood and are looking forward to another successful season,” added Glenn Hughes.
