The order, from JSPL Jindal Steel & Power Limited - the third largest steel producer in India – is for SRB split roller bearings to operate in a new plate mill that JSPL is constructing at its Angul, Orissa production site.
"This is the largest single order that we have ever won for our SRB split roller bearings, and it is a massive vote of confidence in the design, quality and reliability of our bearings," said Adrian Menzies, sales and marketing director for Revolvo. "The durability of SRB split roller bearings, and the ease and speed with which they can be assembled and disassembled to ensure minimum downtime, were key factors in winning this order, as was our long track record of success with heavy industrial applications - particularly steel - in India and China."
Around 570 of Revolvo's SRB split roller bearings are being purchased in the JSPL order, all of which will be manufactured at Dudley in the West Midlands, in Revolvo's new manufacturing facility. They include shaft sizes from 100 to 360mm, many supplied with high strength steel pedestals for use on cooling beds and transfer tables at the new plate mill.
