Since SKF's acquisition of SNFA, engineers from both companies have been working together to create a new range of super-precision bearings.



These super-precision bearings will assist OEMs and end users to optimise performance parameters of their equipment and applications.



Benefits of this new range of bearings include higher speeds, increased load ratings, extended bearing service life, longer maintenance intervals and reduced energy consumption.



Typical applications for the new generation bearings include metal cutting and wood working machinery spindles, printing machinery, turbo chargers, vacuum pumps and racing cars.



The first product series SKF-SNFA super-precision bearings was launched in September 2008 and all existing SKF and SNFA precision bearing designs will be replaced by the new generation of super-precision bearings within the next few years.
