NSK Corporation paid tribute to American servicemen and women by offering a chance for them and their loved ones to enjoy NASCAR racing at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS). In the third year of their involvement with the Salute to Military Families Program at MIS, NSK provided tickets and hospitality to special guests whose lives have been altered by military duty, both past and present.
In total, NSK hosted 40 lucky winners that joined in the excitement of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series LifeLock 400 on June 14. Not only did NSK's guests have a great view of the race itself, they were treated to VIP hospitality and had prime seats for the pre-race ceremonies that featured a special appearance from the race Grand Marshall, recording artist Kid Rock.
"NSK is proud to continue support of the exceptional MIS Salute to Military Families program for a third year," says Tony Martell, Vice President, Aftermarket Business at NSK. "It is an honour to share this thrilling NASCAR experience with members of the United States Military and their families in appreciation of their contribution to our country. The day was made even more special by the address from guest speaker Two Star General Art Bartell, Commanding General, US Army Cadet Command."
For the entire team at NSK, support of the Salute to Military Families Program at MIS is truly about the individuals that are affected and the loved ones that are serving, or have served, in the military. This year, NSK was able to host many such inspirational people, including Deborah and Nicholas Bartsos whose son David is currently serving in Iraq.
"David was so pleased that we were able to attend in his place," says Deborah. "He was even more excited to know that he had been ed to receive the tickets. We appreciate NSK for making us feel so welcomed. It's a memory that Nick and I will treasure for a life time! Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality."
NSK is committed to supporting events that not only highlight the courage of servicemen and women, but also social and environmental causes that impact every resident of our community.
