Brammer UK, part of Europe’s leading distributor of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) products and services, has held a second highly successful seminar aimed at helping leading manufacturing companies in all sectors across the Uk reduce their energy consumption.
Organised in response to customer demand and drawing on the success of a similar event last year, the event, held at Brammer’s Centre of Excellence in Wolverhampton, was attended by 45 decision-makers from UK manufacturing companies including Severn Trent, Mars, Cadbury and Springfield Fuels Limited.
Once again run by Brammer in conjunction with a number of key strategic suppliers, the seminar addressed, via real case studies of Brammer customers, how energy efficiency can be improved, and the real capital and operational cost savings achievable through careful ion and management of motors, drives, gearboxes, drive belts and compressed air systems.
Brammer works with companies of all sizes and across all manufacturing sectors to reduce their energy consumption through independent audits and product ion advice, which delivers real improvements to their performance and competitiveness.
Delegates found out more about the Carbon Trust Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme and had the opportunity to quiz the expert panel about their own energy issues.
Meanwhile, technical experts from Brammer, Siemens, SMC and Gates were on hand for more detailed discussion, while delegates toured the Brammer Centre of Excellence which features a number of energy saving demonstration rigs.
Andy Parker MCIPS, Supplier Manager at Springfields Fuels Ltd, was among the delegates. He commented: “I found the Seminar very interesting and easy to understand. The examples featured in the presentation were easy to follow and provided some very interesting statistics.
“The most impressive thing, however, was the fact that it showed me how to save money which is something we all need to improve the performance of our organisations.”
