According to filings with the state, PME is considering Maysville along with its current locations as potential sites for the 21,500 square-foot project. The new facility, which would cost about $2 million to startup, is expected to create 20 jobs.

PME provides bearing repair services, mainly to the power generation industry, and operates out of Cincinnati, Ohio; Atlanta, Georgia; and Reno, Nevada. The new facility would serve a variety of targeted industry sectors.

Kentucky's Economic Development Finance Authority recently gave preliminary approval for a $750,000 tax credit toward the project.

It was unclear when a decision would be made. PME officials could not be reached for comment.
