Applied Industrial Technologies (NYSE: AIT) has acquired the assets of Cincinnati Transmission Company, a single location, regional distributor of power transmission and motion control products as well as gearbox repair solutions. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Cincinnati, Ohio-based Cincinnati Transmission serves a range of customers, primarily OEMs, with bearings, v-belts, drives, electric motors, clutches, and conveying equipment.
Cleveland-based Applied Industrial Technologies is an industrial distributor that offers more than three million parts used in the operations of MRO and OEM customers in various industries.
The company also provides engineering, design and systems integration for industrial and fluid power applications, as well as customized mechanical, fabricated rubber and fluid power shop services.
