SKF South Africa is once again at the forefront of technology with the introduction of the SKF Dual - contact and non-contact - TMTL 2400K laser infrared thermometer that is designed to measure the object's temperature by using the infrared detector or a probe.
Nadine Britt, SKF South Africa's Maintenance Sales Rep, takes a look at the thermometer's features: "Lightweight and compact, the TMTL 2400K can safely measure the temperature of hot, hazardous or hard-to-reach objects without contaminating or damaging the surfaces. The sense emitting optics of the TMTL 2400K, reflect and transmit energy, which is collected and focused onto a detector. The TMTL 2400K's electronics then translate the collected information into a temperature reading, which is displayed in °C or °F. The built-in dual-laser feature and spot ration of 50:1, help to enable exact pinpointing of the temperature measurement area," explains Britt.
"The TMTL 2400K enables contact temperature measurement and allows the emissivity to be user selected, allowing the contact temperature measurement to be easily compared with the infrared measurement. It is therefore simple to find and adjust the thermometer emissivity for accurate infrared measurement of the same measured object," concludes Britt. The TMTL 2400K forms part of SKF's wide range of Maintenance Products that offer solutions for industry across the board.
