igus® Inc. has added a new linear actuator featuring a smaller mounting height and lower weight than its predecessor. Now customers have the option of a maintenance-free, self-lubricating, lightweight actuator when designing a compact linear drive system.
DryLin® ZLW-0630 boasts an installation height of only 1.22 inches. This lightweight unit - made up of a toothed-belt linear drive equipped with a hard-anodized aluminum profile, a DryLin W compact linear guide, iglide® J plastic sliding elements and plastic end blocks - tops out at only 1.76 pounds for a system with a 2-foot stroke. DryLin ZLW-0630 is also ideal for high speeds reaching up to 6.5 feet per second.
DryLin ZLW is ideal for quickly positioning small loads and can be employed in a number of industries such as packaging, automation, medical technology and food and beverage manufacturing.
"The compact version of DryLin ZLW, igus' first linear actuator, is an impressive addition to the DryLin product line," said Matt Mowry, DryLin product manager for igus. "This new system is lightweight, maintenance-free and can be used in a wide array of applications requiring a high speed, compact linear unit."
