Aurora Bearing Expands,Moves Into New Facility
Aurora Bearing Company (USA) announced it has moved into new and larger facilities in the Chicago suburb of Montgomery, Illinois.
The new 225,000 square foot facility encompasses both Aurora's offices and manufacturing operations. It is just a half mile from the former location.
Aurora noted the expansion has allowed it to consolidate what had been three separate manufacturing sites under one roof, along with its administration and operations staff.
Scott Schroeder, National Sales Manager, said: "This expansion will allows us to employ a leaner, more efficient business model, featuring cellular manufacturing techniques with all facets of the business under one roof. It is going to give us greater control of our production, from materials through manufacturing and inspection, while expediting the entire process."
Founded in 1970, Aurora manufactures rod ends, spherical bearings and Teflon-lined journal bearings. Markets include industrial, automotive, aerospace and military applications.
