New Machining Shop Opening Ceremony at ZKL Hanusovice, a.s.

The necessity of centralizing the roller bearing production entailed the decision to establish a new machining shop in ZKL Hanusovice. The workshop in which formerly the production of Zetor tractor parts had been situated, commonly known in Hanusovice as workshop "Sixty" after the metric length of its central aisle, has become an obsolete manufacturing site after removal and sale of useless machinery, when Zetor program terminated. Therefore it was decided by the end of year 2006 to reconstruct the site with intention to build in its restored premises a machining shop for manufacture of rolling elements, thus centralizing this particular operation for entire Group' need.

In parallel with this project the purchase of new CNC machining technology is under way (at present first 7 purchased machines are in ZKL Hanusovice already) and all will be installed in restored shop.

The restoration works proceeded in a record time, by mid of May the building has been taken over for use and bulk moving in of new CNC machining technology serving for present production of spherical rollers in diameters starting from 25 to 60 mm for spherical roller thrust and radial bearings is planned to take place at the beginning of June.
