Pacamor Kubar Bearings (PKB) has introduced new product enhancements extending bearing life in high speed and low speed dental and surgical handpieces.
The company worked with leading dental professionals to develop these improvements in its dental bearing product line.
The new extended life bearings include high quality stainless steel rings, new design features, and specialty component materials developed for dental bearing applications.
The PKB extended-life bearing retainer offers self-lubricating and life-extending additives as an enhancement to their proven retainer design.
'Bearing life is a critical factor in the performance of a quality dental or medical handpiece', said Augustine Sperrazza, CEO.
'Increasing the bearing life while maintaining a cost competitive position, coupled with prompt delivery, creates a total product package that is highly advantageous to today's medical tool developers and users'.
PKB's team of bearing experts believes that all dental bearings should contain a minimum amount of lubricant to ensure optimum life and operational efficiency.
Dental and medical bearings are supplied ready for use, lubricated with food-safe and autoclave resistant grease.
Proper lubrication is essential to successful bearing performance in demanding applications and PKB uses only high quality, filtered lubricants in its antifriction bearings.
The team also acknowledges the realities of actual handling processes by users in the field.
'We understand that sometimes handpieces just do not get proper care and maintenance in their daily use', illustrated Mike Selby, VP Operations.
'Our goal is to provide a bearing that is forgiving under short term, lube starved conditions until proper maintenance is performed'.
Bearing designs can be fully customised.
