LUDWIGSBURG/HERZOGENAURACH, November 24, 2003. For the 36th time, the German Department of Commerce and Labor has selected the winners for the German Business Film Award - and it was a great success for the Schaeffler Group. Among the 76 videos submitted, the Group's promotion video "Together We Move The World" received one of the three first prizes.
At the awards ceremony in Ludwigsburg, the jury especially praised the impressive technique used to treat the topic as well as the idea of asking children what they think moves the world: products by INA, LuK and FAG, member companies of the Schaeffler Group. They remarked that it is often "the little things that you can't see that make things work," and the video makes this point very impressively.
The motto for this year's business film award was "Business Meets Creativity," and it is the most prestigious award for business videos in Germany. The award has been presented for outstanding films each year since 1968 when it was established by Germany's Department of Commerce and Labor. The purpose of the award is to promote awareness among the general public for business and economic matters.
The award for the video, which was created by the Schaeffler Group Communications Department along with the advertising agency Wensauer & Partner and the film production company group.ie, was accepted at the ceremony by Communications Director Gerhard Zaiß and producer Christopher Zitterbart (group.ie) as well as Tim Bögelein (Wensauer).
With a total of 54,000 employees at over 180 locations around the globe and group sales slightly below 7 billion euros (fiscal year 2002), the Schaeffler Group is one of the world's leading suppliers for the rolling bearing and automotive supplier industries. The corporate group includes the INA Group with headquarters in Herzogenaurach, the FAG Group based in Schweinfurt as well as the LuK Group, with headquarters in Bühl.
