The company predicts that total sales in the United States at an annualized rate of 161000. That may be August automobile industry the best performance since May 2007 months ago, the "great recession".
For Chrysler, ram pickup the best August since 2006, sales up 31% from a year earlier. The jeep brand sales growth of 8%. The grand Cherokee SUV sales were up 40%.
August is 41 consecutive months, compared with the same period last year sales revenue for Chrysler.
