U.N. peacekeepers in Congo ordered to protect civilians after city shelled

United Nations Mission in Congo (Thursday) ordered the head of peacekeeping forces to take action to protect civilians hit by shelling, the town of Goma renewed fighting between rebel forces and M23.
Million Rwandan border town of Goma, fighting close relative calm after 18 months of rebellion. Late last month, the United Nations pledge to keep out of range of the town, which they seized last year briefly M23 rebels.

M23 Congolese rebels large volatile things started early last year, accusing the central government failed to honor previous peace agreements.

MONUSCO said last month that will keep the intervention brigade to establish new security zone outside the M23 and Goma, said the city will no longer be attacked.
