Pakistani prime minister nawaz sharif meeting in Beijing with Chinese President xi jinping on Thursday for an official visit to the key to China's investment in his country's ailing transportation and power generation industries.
This visit is a close ally of Mr Sharif, first of all his country, because he came back to last month. Countries cooperate closely in the diplomatic and military affairs, and neighbors in India share a common opponent.
Sharif said he chose China for his first visit to consolidate and develop the good-neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries, according to China's national television station. Nawaz sharif, said Pakistan hopes to expand economic exchanges, especially in infrastructure in developing countries, and welcomed Chinese companies to invest.
Mr. Xi told him, China hopes to move forward the "China - Pakistan economic corridor plan".
"All-weather strategic cooperative relations is the valuable wealth that our two countries share," Mr. Xi said.
Sharif wants to attract more Chinese investment in Pakistan's moribund economy recovery. Control which including the construction of the Chinese border, was transferred to a Chinese state-owned company in February in the Arabian sea port of gwadar, rail and road connections.
Pakistan is seeking China's help to overcome chronic energy shortages, and China wants to fight insurgents in Pakistan Muslim uighurs from China have taken al al qaeda extremists in Pakistan's northwest illegal asylum together. Pakistan says it has in the past few years, several of these militants dead or extradition, but admitted that some in the region is still at large.
Mr Sharif, the following visit by a Chinese premier li keqiang, Pakistan on May, during this period, both sides mentioned they usually friendship in glowing terms.
China provides aid and foreign investment in Pakistan, but Islamabad provide Beijing in muslim-majority countries, otherwise it may criticize China with its Muslim population in the face of important foreign backing.
Pakistan has made China as an important counterweight to the United States, it provided valuable assistance, but tend to pressure Islamabad to do more to crack down on islamist militants. Pakistan and China are close, because of their mutual mistrust between India, bordering the two countries.
