Standard & poor's has taken the long island power authority of the A - rating, the negative impact of the credit.
The ratings agency, said on Tuesday and practical properties is due to new legislation, it can "erosion of practical financial flexibility."
New York governor Andrew Cuomo (Andrew Cuomo) has recently passed legislation support, will shrink lipa international staff and day-to-day operations, public service electric and gas companies next year.
Cuomo demanded change, in part because of long time power outages after the super storm sandy in long island.
The bill also requires freezing rate. The ratings agency said that could cost lipa "important financial tool."
Of LIPA, a spokeswoman said the company needs to attach great importance to its credit rating, negative evaluation, and said that it is taking action, to support the strong credit.
