The U.S. International Trade Commission said in a statement that the products involved in sintered rare earth magnet products and engine sound, headphones, wireless tools, computer hard drives and golf ball position and other standard products containing this material. The survey involved four Chinese companies, 23 companies, a German company, and an Austrian companies.
 
The statement said Japan's Hitachi Metals Co., Ltd. and its U.S. subsidiary, a complaint to the U.S. International Trade Commission on August 17 this year, accused the United States imports and the company's patent infringement in the U.S. market, sales of the products involved, to start the "337 investigation" and issue an exclusion order and a ban on the import order.

The so-called "337 investigation" was first named after section 337 of the U.S. Tariff Act of 1930 ", after experiencing several major amendments.
