Putin signed the bill to approve Russia's accession to the WTO Agreement

According to RIA Novosti reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed 21 federal bills related to the approval of Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) agreement, which means that Russia has completed the legal process of accession to the WTO, will be formally joined the WTO in August.
 
On the 10th and the 18th of this month, the bill in the State Duma (lower house of parliament) and the Federation Council (upper house of parliament) has been adopted.
 
After 18 years of arduous negotiations, on November 10 last year, the WTO Russia's accession to the WTO Working Group adopted the final text of Russia's WTO accession agreement. On December 16 last year, the Eighth Ministerial Meeting of WTO formally approved Russia's accession to the WTO.
 
Russia will be approved by the national legislative bodies of the WTO accession agreement after 30 days to formally become a WTO member. According to the WTO accession agreement, Russia's accession to the WTO, the overall tariff rate from the current 9.5% gradually decreased to about 6%, the opening of the market transition period of 2-3 years, the period of protection of some sensitive commodities for 5-7 years.
