According to China Central Television reported, the Philippines and the United States Navy and Coast Guard joint exercises held in 2012 at sea combat readiness of cooperation and training will be held July 2 to 10 in the southern Philippines, the Mindanao Sea.

The participating U.S. Navy and Coast Guard and Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard, ground, air and special operations forces. The two countries will hold a shore-based cross-training exercises, diving, rescue, air operations, maritime fleet training exercises, as well as volleyball, basketball friendly match.
Through the tournament, said the exercise will also test personnel, naval equipment, and the action swift degrees, with the ultimate goal through the exchange of theory and tactics to improve the defense capability of the Philippine Navy.
The participating staff: about 400 Philippine Navy personnel and 350 U.S. Navy personnel and 50 of the Philippine Coast Guard and 150 U.S. Coast Guard team.
Cooperation of the Philippine-US maritime combat readiness and training began in 1995, once a year, held alternately by each military region of the Philippine Navy. Last year's military exercise at the Sulu Sea to the east of the Western Philippine Navy under the jurisdiction of Palawan province.
