Vietnam PM's son-in-law gets McDonald's franchise

McDonald's Corp. said Tuesday it will open its first in Vietnam hamburger restaurant after the grant of the franchise, son of the nation's premier Communist rule.
Fast-food chain is a relative latecomer, Vietnam and other Western consumer brands such as Starbucks, subway stations and Pizza Hut have opened stores.
Although the level of growth slowed from the hot, young population of Vietnam is a powerful lure for foreign companies.
It also represents the McDonald's in the world, including countries with the United States share a bloody history into the latest chapter.
The company said it will open its first restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, is based on the US-backed government until early next year, fell to communist forces 38 years ago.
It will join Starbucks earlier this year in Ho Chi Minh City opened its first coffee shop, as well as other brands. Vietnam's rulers began to open up the country's economy in the early 1990s the world. Foreign brand is known among people keen experiments with diet and lifestyle choices, their parent's generation can not be used.
The company said it has chosen Henry Nguyen, Vietnamese American investors and Vietnamese Prime Minister's son, "rigorous" selection process leading franchise partner basis. Nguyen was quoted as saying McDonald's is his first job as a teenager working in the U.S. for some time.
"I have a dream that one day, since I returned to Vietnam, more than ten years ago, my homeland to open a McDonald's restaurant," Nguyen said. "I have been in contact with the McDonald's over the years sharing opportunities exist in our country."
McDonald's operates in more than 100 countries around the world, including 38 in Asia.
