Yahoo (NSQ: YHOO) acquisition of e-mail and address book, the Internet company's management application Xobni's third acquisition since its purpose is to modify its online products and increase their site traffic in as many days.
Yahoo said it would Xobni's technology into its communications products, including their e-mail and instant messaging services, mobile phone and PC versions.
Yahoo did not disclose financial terms of the transaction, technology blog AllThingsD's 30 million to 40 million U.S. dollars hooks. Yahoo said, Xobni's 31 employees will join Yahoo, including CEO Jeff Bonforte, who had been working at Yahoo.
The agreement is the latest in a series of acquisitions since Yahoo Chief Executive Marissa Mayer became a year ago, vowing to boost Traffic to Yahoo's online services, and to revive the company's revenue growth stalled.
Yahoo, has about 11,000 employees in the past year has acquired more than a dozen small network business, with particular emphasis on increasing designed for smart phones and tablet PCs technologies and services.
