Iran's Foreign Ministry denied a Reuters report, Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi sent a letter to Iran's supreme leader a few months ago called for a wide range of talks with Washington, ISNA student news agency reported Wednesday.
"Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman denied a Reuters report Foreign Minister's letter about the negotiations with the United States Supreme Leader," ISNA reported.
He was referring to a special report, Reuters quoted sources said Salehi sent a letter to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called for "extensive discussions with the United States.

ISNA spokesman said: "This kind of baseless claims, as a storytelling before Iran's presidential election, the West took time off from time to time public opinion."
Iran's presidential elections take place on Friday.
