CHG tapered roller bearings for rolling mills are supplied in various designs and sizes for work rolls and back-up rolls in most mill types; 2-row and 4-row tapered roller bearings predominantly for radial loads, and tapered roller thrust bearings and screw-down bearings for axial loads.

The cost-effective and simple design of the 4-row tapered roller bearings offers a functional solution in standard rolling mill configurations. Sealed versions are also available for all lubrication methods and for high-speed rolling. Increased radial load carrying capability for 4-row bearings can be provided by the use of a separate tapered roller thrust bearing. They can support heavy thrust loads in both directions and enable tight bolting of housing covers. Screw-down bearings are placed beneath the upper chocks and adjustment screws to transmit the roll force into the mill frame. They can be tailored to meet customer requirements in specific applications.
