Kaman Constructing New Bearing Manufacturing Facility in Hochstadt, Germany

PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kaman Specialty Bearings & Engineered Products announced this week at the 50th International Paris the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Höchstadt, Germany to support strong continued growth and strategic objectives. The new facility is being built to accommodate Kaman's RWG business, which has continued to experience significant growth in the European aerospace markets as well as in new, emerging markets around the globe. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility will support Kaman's commitment to operational excellence and will double the company's capacity by replacing an existing facility in Dachsbach, Germany. The Höchstadt facility is expected to be fully operational in 2014.

RWG is a business unit in the Kaman Specialty Bearings and Engineered Products division of Kaman Aerospace Group. RWG designs and manufactures flight critical parts for aircraft including bushings, metal to metal sphericals, self-lubricating bearings (Fraslip), and rolling element bearings. RWG has built a strong reputation for custom engineering and high quality standard bearings for the most demanding aerospace applications.
