Correct alignment of the shaft is indispensable in order to achieve high efficiency and reliability of rotating machinery. In order to provide optimum customer support in this area, Schaeffler Industrial Aftermarket now offers the new FAG Top-Laser EQUILIGN. This can be used to carry out laser optical alignment easily, quickly and precisely. Thanks to its robust design and useful functions, the handy device is ideally suited to use in maintenance. The FAG Top-Laser EQUILIGN guides the user step by step through the measurement procedure up to determination of the correct alignment status. In addition to high plant availability, good alignment also makes a considerable contribution to reducing energy and costs.
Perfectly aligned to maintenance
Precise alignment of coupled or uncoupled shafts in rotating equipment such as motors, pumps, ventilators, fans and compressors ensures lower operating and maintenance outlay in the long term. The FAG Top-Laser EQUILIGN is of a watertight and contamination-resistant construction specially for these sometimes rough ambient conditions and is ready for operation permanently and anywhere by means of batteries or rechargeable batteries. In poor light conditions, an integral light metere ensures that the screen brightness adapts automatically to the environment. The TFT display thus remains well visible at all times. With a mass of only 800 gram and compact dimensions, the precision measuring device can be carried comfortably and the screen can be operated using both thumbs.
Alignment in manual rotation – plug and play
Due to the graphical user guidance and intuitive autoflow function that specifies each step of the measurement procedure, even novices can achieve user-friendly, simple alignment without the use of a handbook. The FAG Top-Laser EQUILIGN also has a reliable real time display that indicates both horizontal and vertical motion during alignment. Up to 50 measurement files can be stored directly in the device. Even if operation is interrupted, the data are automatically secured and the process can be continued without any problems. The data can be outputted in metric or Imperial units. The device can be used worldwide by selecting one of the 20 available languages, including Russian and Chinese. The FAG Top-Laser EQUILIGN is supplied in a practical carry case. The scope of delivery includes items such as chains, brackets, posts and batteries. Furthermore, Schaeffler Industrial Aftermarket offers a set of 300 shims and a further set for the alignment of large shaft diameters or coupling heights.
