Every year at the Bestbuy Annual Meeting, Trade Show and Gala special awards are handed out. This year Schaeffler Canada was chosen as the Supplier of the Year.

Rodger Brintnell of Schaeffler was presented the Horace J. Pratt Supplier of the Year Award and said it came as somewhat of a surprise to him! "The award was given to us in recognition of our efforts over the previous year. We promote our FAG Hub & Wheel programs to Bestbuy and support their Shareholder network. Schaeffler's program with Bestbuy has been growing steadily – I spend a lot of time visiting each and every share­holder across Canada, conducting train­ing at the store locations and have even done some training with their service provider customers.

"The Schaeffler Group is an OE manu­facturer for hub assemblies and wheel bearings that has expanded its product offerings and built a complete program consisting of some 850 part numbers that covers about 97 percent of the vehicle market. The Bestbuy people have taken it on and have done very well with it. In fact, they seemed to be pleased enough to give me this award, and for that I thank them! We have a great relationship and that's what busi­ness is all about."

Brintnell has been with Schaeffler Canada for ten years; starting out in product de­velopment, before getting more involved in the sales side of the business. And it was the sales component, which ended up with an award for the group.
