May. 2, 2012-- EnPro Industries, Inc. (NYSE: NPO) announced that Kees van der Graaf was elected as a director of the company at today's annual meeting of shareholders. The company also announced that all incumbent directors were reelected to the board at the meeting with the exception of J.P. Bolduc, who reached the board's mandatory retirement age. Mr. Bolduc, a member of the company's board since it was spun off from Goodrich Corporation in 2002, retires following 10 years of service.
Mr. van der Graaf most recently was an Executive-in-Residence at IMD International, an international business school based in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he served from 2008 to 2011. In 2011, he was also co-director of the IMD Global Center. Prior to joining IMD, Mr. van der Graaf enjoyed a 32-year career at Unilever NV and Unilever PLC which operate the Unilever Group, a multinational supplier of fast-moving consumer goods. At Unilever, he was president of Ice Cream and Frozen Food-Europe from 2001 to 2004 and a member of the board and executive committee of Unilever NV and Unilever PLC from 2004 to 2008. He is currently a member of the supervisory board of Carlsberg A/S and a director of Ben & Jerry's, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Unilever, whose board is charged with preserving and expanding Ben & Jerry's social mission, brand integrity and product quality. He also serves as chairman of the supervisory boards of the University of Twente, GrandVision BV and MyLaps BV in The Netherlands. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering and an M.B.A from the University of Twente.
Mr. Bolduc had served continuously on EnPro's board since the company became an independent, publically traded company in May 2002. He is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of JPB Enterprises, Inc., an investment banking, private equity and real estate investment holding company, and a former president, chief executive officer and chief financial officer of W.R. Grace & Co.
