October 6th, 2011 was became a special day for SKF Indonesia because we has been awarded as SKF Automotive Division (AD) Benchmark Winner 2010. This award was handed over by Franco Ferro, PTE & TW Business Unit Director of SKF Industry, to Roy Kainama, Manufacturing Director of PT SKF Indonesia, and witnessed by member Board of Commissioner, shareholders of the company, Skefindo Colleagues and also all of SKF Indonesia employees.
SKF Indonesia was a winner of AD Benchmark Award in 2008 and 2009. AD has 46 manufacturing units all over the world. In order to improve competitiveness and maintain business sustainability, AD has developed competition among its 46 units. In this competition, AD is benchmarking 8 parameters based on the SKF strategy that is monitored from each unit through monthly basic report. Those parameters are Inventories, Manufacturing Cost Level Index (MCLI), Flexibility, Capacity utilization, Productivity, Broken promises, Non Conformance Complaints (NCC), Number of working accidents per 100 employees.
On the same day, Jakarta Factory has also celebrated 25th Anniversary of SKF Indonesia. This event marked by cutting a cake for the most senior employee and most junior employee.
The anniversary celebration was also enlivened by music performance of Mang Udjo Group who played music by "Angklung", a traditional musical instrument from West Java. Angklung has been recognized by UNESCO as an art from Indonesia.
SKF Indonesia has through a journey for 25 years, and we hope SKF Indonesia will continue to grow on the future.
