The Igus Dylin linear bearing range is suitable for a range of industrial applications including guide doors for machine tools, bottling machines in the food sector and filling and sealing machines.

The units operate using slide plain bearings, which results in a larger surface area and therefore a reduction in surface pressures and friction. This means that softer materials — including hard anodised aluminium, free-machining steel and 316 stainless steel — can be used.

Additionally, the motion of the bearings pushes unwanted particles of grit and debris away in motion that the company likens to a windscreen wiper.
